Ash Robles

Born in Lancaster, PA

Lives & works in Coraopolis, PA

Primarily self-taught, artist Ash Robles was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1999 where she was an art major. While in high school, she met her husband Nelson and together they have one child, a daughter, Angelique and two dogs.

While completing course work at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, she became more interested in the works of artists such as Rembrandt, Franz VonStuck and Basil Gogos. Oil painting became her passion but she also created illustration and sculpture work.

After moving across the U.S., in 2009, Ash and her family traveled overseas to Anjeong-Ri, South Korea. During the years she lived there, she taught painting, drawing and sculpture to Military service members and their families as well as Korean nationals. While in South Korea, Ash also volunteered her talents to the local community theater and created props and backdrops for several theatrical productions. In 2012, the Robles family traded Korea for Colorado Springs, Colorado where she continued to focus on her art.

Ash has many works of art in collections around the world as well pieces appearing on television. Reaching out to the local art community, Ash became the President of the West Hills Art League where she meets and learns from many talented artists.

After searching for a great location for her family to grow roots, she settled into Coraopolis, Pennsylvania where Ash continues to create. She can be found in her studio, a former doctor’s office, surrounded by canvas and paint.
